Tokyo Video Diary

I took forever to edit this but I can attribute the delay solely to the fact that I couldn't find the perfect music for my footage, to which my friend Cheryl (who has talent running through her veins like most people have blood) came to the rescue and made the perfect track for me. So, if your ears are hungry anytime soon feel free to give her tunes a listen, they're really nice. Re-editing these clips made me long to travel again; and what perfect timing as I'll be visiting Bangkok and Taipei this summer; feel free to hit me up with recommendations (off the beaten path as I have been to both before) and I will send you a virtual hug. In the mean time I hope you enjoy the video. Happy weekend!

Filmed on a Fujifilm x-pro 1 and edited on Final Cut Pro.

  5. Zoca Pizza in Da'an District is super good and there's the fish market or harbour for fresh seafood. Everyone always goes up Elephant Mountain but I feel like that's mostly for the Instagram of the 101 ha. I personally love visiting the hot springs but summer might not be the best time for that. If you find yourself in Taoyuan, there's a restaurant in the local mountains that has a pretty view of lights but the food there's not that great. This is probably the worst list of suggestions ever haha, but there's so many things I can't remember off the top of my head...

    1. Oh and Bopiliao Old Street is worth a peek if you're nearby. It's (as the name would imply) an old street and you can learn a little history while you're there. Make sure you check to see when a good time to go is though, I went at a time when it was pretty empty but a lot of the stuff was closed. Not a lot to do there but it's nice for some photos and there's some art by Cola King there if you've ever heard of him. There's a well-known temple nearby (I think) and a night market that used to be known for all the snake stuff sold there. If you're willing to take the HSR from Taipei down to the Kaohsiung area, the weather is nice and it's pretty down there--lots of greenery.

  19. For Taipei, I recommend the night market and chiang kai-shek memorial hall. The memorial hall is beautiful plus you might see some couples shooting for their prewedding or cute doggies. Oh and love your video as always <3

  29. Omigosh you're coming to Bangkok? :D Yess, that's my hometown. I'll tell you a few places you should totally visit!

Shopping mall complexes: EmQuartier (newly opened this year, it's so beautiful and full of brand name shops, and great restaurants from all over the world), Siam Paragon (my fave shopping mall, it's got EVERYTHING, including an underground aquariam!), MBK (cheap clothes and items), Central World (huuge shopping mall complex with a lil' ice skating rink).

Other tourist/attraction sites are Floating Markets (there are a few in Bangkok, Damneon Saduak and Talin Chan is most popular I think). temples (Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, etc.).

I have a few restaurants in Bangkok posted on my blog, complete with photos and addresses if you're interested~ They're under the "Food" category :)

Hope you enjoy your trip to Bangkok and Taipai this summer! Sorry for the long comment eheh ^^" Btw I super love your video omigosh. Your filming and editing is out of this world <3

  38. 1. Fine! Articles and content in this section of the website are really amazing. Great ideas indeed! I will surely keep these in my mind! Just watch it; Andrew awce Myland recently purchased the area at 39-47 Union St in Auckland. The site is large enough to accommodate up to three towers of apartments but that isn’t what is going to happen. Myland wants to do something more than just build a group of apartment buildings and shove everyone right next to each other. Instead, Fawcet and Myland want to build much higher standard of living with a lower density of residents.
